Website to undergo changes

This website will soon be undergoing a major overhaul. Lately the only users that have been signing up to access the site have been spam users. If you wish to become a user on the site, you will have to email me directly and request access at tom at

I will also be explore other content management systems besides Drupal. This one seems to be more prone to spam attacks. When/if that happens I'll try to migrate everyone over to the new system, but there is a chance you will need to re-register. I'll keep you posted.

Lake Fairfield Now in Street View!

All of Greenville, including the Lake Fairfield area, is now available in Google Maps' Street View. If you're not familiar with Street View, Google has sent a van equipped with a special camera to various cities. This van drives up and down the streets taking pictures to create a 360 degree interactive map. In cities that have Street View available, you can click on a street and see the actual street-level view from that location.

Below is an example of a Street View image showing our new cul-de-sac. Click on the "View Larger Map" link to show the image in context.

Website Instructions

A basic primer on how to use this site has been posted in the discussion forums. You can check it out here

Geocaching in the Neighborhood

Many of you may not be aware, but there are treasures hidden all around, if only you know where to look. The sport of Geocaching is a treasure hunt game played with a GPS unit and a computer. First, someone will hide a container, called a "geocache" in a public location. They will then upload the latitude and longitude coordinators to the website, along with a description of the cache. Other players will then download these coordinates and try to find the caches.
